Beckton Globe Library

Newham | Library | Ref: 11502

Beckton Globe Library is a modern build working library, with a mixed exterior design of glass, open brick and prominent circular entrance. Outside leading up to the building there is a large controllable pedestrian area with small trees, multiple metal benches and street lamps/CCTV towers.

It is open on Monday (9:30am - 5:30pm), Tuesday (9:30am - 5:30pm), Wednesday (9:30am - 5:30pm), Thursday (9:30am - 8:00pm), Friday (9:30am - 5:30pm) and Saturday (9:30am - 5:30pm). Closed on Sundays. The Library has a spacious round reception area, a large study area with bookshelves, desks, computers, etc. There is also a glass staircase, that keeps with the rounded-shape of the building - an impressive feature of the Library.

The Library also provides a variety of activities for the public, from Toy Library for young children (Mondays 10am - 12pm and Thursdays 1pm - 3pm) to Knit and Natter Group (Wednesdays 10am - 12pm).
