On Friday 1st April, Michelle French, Director at CAMA organised a Creative East networking event held for a combination of industry professionals from sustainability managers to supplier to film offices with the aim to bring people together to discuss what they do and build partnerships within film and TV, as well as charitable organisations. The event aimed to shine a light on the roles and work of those working directly with film and TV productions, London Screen Academy’s desire to help young people grow in the film and TV industry, and the incredible work done by charities such as the Single Homeless Project and the Reuse Network.
CAMA approached The Film Office looking for an interesting space to host the event for around 20/30 people and here at Film Office we offered up EartH to which they were delighted with! EartH is an art deco multi-arts space gem hidden in Hackney, that has recently been renovated. It comprises two main spaces and a restaurant. On the ground floor, it has a multi-purpose 1200 capacity dedicated events space and upstairs the theatre, a 750 capacity tiered seated venue with jaw-dropping, original Art Deco features. For all filming, photography and event enquiries check out the location here! Emily who organised the event at EartH said “It’s great the theatre were open to having the networking event, as the space offers so many spaces for filming. The history of the venue stands out impressively, so we look forward to placing more enquires here.”
