London is the new ‘Love Island’ city as ITV films series in Tower Hamlets!

ITV recently came to Wapping to film in two of The Film Office’s private locations in Modern Apartment’s for new series Singletown!

Singletown sees five couples decide to press pause on their relationships and spend one incredible summer experiencing single life and all it has to offer in London’s glamourous social scene.

The series explores how each couple have a different reason for putting their relationships on ice – whether they’re ready for the next steps in their relationship, such as buying a house or asking the big question, to newer relationships that have hit the rocks. The production got in contact looking for two apartment’s to film the series and loved the look of two modern apartments on the FilmHub library books in Wapping.

Emily the Film Officer on the job said, “Love Island has always been such a successful programme, with a broadcast on average scoring of 3.4 million viewers, so it’s awesome to have the London series filming and based in Wapping in Tower Hamlets.” The show decked out the location with small high definition cameras throughout to capture the footage. The historic London setting around Wapping gave the ideal backdrop for the couple’s to explore the city on various dates. It will be great to see the finished show live on ITV2 in Autumn.”

Marisa from Keshet Productions commented, “Many thanks to you for getting us the location at short notice. The apartments look amazing on camera, I hope they will have us back! We look forward to working with you again.”
